- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on the importance of applying the rule of law during warfare and in dealing with terrorist combatants. He argues that the international community need to consider the state of the law of war to determine the appropriate method to humanely treat terrorists and civilians who support them. He also adds that states should consult the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in developing laws which applies to combatants in all cases of armed conflict.
