- Abstract
We intended here to study the correlation between scientia, known as the possibility of any science, and the concept of infinity. This link is being mediated by the metaphysical foundation of scientia, which can be done only by acknowledging the existence of God. From this perspective, the discourse regarding the infinity becomes necessary. However, explaining the infinity implies to question its incomprehensibility. Analyzing the incomprehensibility of the infinity thus opens the possibility of understanding a profound connection between metaphysics as a possibility of scientia and the incomprehensibility. Our conclusion reveals that the metaphysics could only be built on a preliminary acknowledgement of the infinity's incomprehensibility. Moreover, this acknowledgement has the nature of a process, and is necessary for elaborating the metaphysics itself. The incomprehensibility of the infinity must be understood as a constitutive element of the metaphysics, and implicitly of the scientia.
