The article presents the results of an online survey of 1,100 adults with autism, and their parents or carers conducted by the National Autistic Society (NAS). The survey found that more than two thirds of people with autism who need 24-hour care are not receiving the care they need from statutory services. A comment from Care and Support Minister Norman Lamb on the relevance of the findings of the survey is presented.
