- Abstract
The article focuses on the remediation industry, which has reportedly driven by many factors such as technological developments, changes in regulation and sustainability matters. Accordingly, insights concerning to the structure of plume does provide a chance to move from strategies of plume management to successful remediation and relatively shorter time frames for large plumes closure. It is noted that one of the essential areas where a concentrated rethinking is necessary is the traditional performance metrics in which the technical and cost-effectiveness of a remediation system is measured.
