- Abstract
A repeat laparoscopic mobilization and delivery of the left colon was performed with a two-stage colonic pull-through and delayed coloanal anastomosis. In patients with long segments of ischaemia or necrosis, a repeat anastomosis is usually not possible in view of the impaired physiology, the inflammatory and septic state, and the unavailability of adequate colonic length to reach the anal canal. The colon is delivered out of the anal canal without an anastomosis, which circumvents the threat of repeat conduit necrosis and anastomotic leak.
