- Abstract
The article presents a study related to mechanism of apoptosis along with its significance in healing of wound. Topics discussed include coining of the term eApoptosis' by embryologist Sir John Graham Kerr to explain form of cell death by controlled genetic process, research on spontaneous cell loss such as in neoplasms, types of liver as well as adrenal injury, and in ontogenesis by Kerr and inflammatory stage apoptosis as the most energy efficient way of removing the inflammatory cells.
