This article reports that a survey conducted by TRW Business Credit Services found that U.S. companies made payments to their suppliers an average nine days later than the due date. The data was from over 6,000 U.S. suppliers and showed that businesses in the Northeast were the slowest to pay. Companies in the Midwest were the most punctual.
