The author reflects on campaigns in schools for a moment of science in veterinary ophthalmology. He argues that the notion of evidence-based medicine was forgotten and scientific evidence in decisions about the care of patients were made based on claims on the Internet and other anecdotal sources. He suggests that veterinary ophthalmology should practice evidence-based medicine.
