- Abstract
The article discusses the use of financial ratios and benchmarks to help auditors in analyzing financial reviews of charitable organizations. The authors explain that financial ratios created for charitable organization should focus on the availability of sufficient financial resources to support the charity's mission and the manner in which the resources are used to execute the mission. They add that financial ratios should be examined relative to a benchmark to make them more meaningful.
