- Title
LIBERIA.
- Abstract
The article reports on the order of London, England's High Court that Liberia should pay two Caribbean-registered investment funds, Hamsah Investments Ltd. and Wall Capital Ltd. over 20 million dollars for a debt dating back to 1978. Liberia says it has no money to recompense the debt and has accused the firms of profiting from impoverishment. A New York court ruled in 2002 that Liberia is obliged to repay 18 million dollars, and the case attempts to collect the amount including its interest.
