- Abstract
The article reports that Angola and France signed bilateral relations agreement in the fields of health, water and education. The French delegation, led by President Nicolas Sarkozy, visited the capital city of Luanda in Angola to forge bilateral relations with Angola. The two nations aimed to create the "France-Angola foundation," which is designed to promote development projects as well as the return of the French Development Agency (AFD) to Angola. The two nations has also discussed the framework agreement on investment protection. French company Thales won the 140 million Euro contract to provide Luanda with a civilian and military telecommunications system. Total, the second largest player in the local petroleum market, announced its funding of four lyées.
