The article discusses the study which examined the true account on the death of King Agis II of Sparta and the place where he actually died. It reveals that Agis' death was followed by the dispute between Leotychidas and Agesilaus for the succession rights to the throne. It adds that the Arcadians from Heraea such as Pausanias and Plutarch came and bore witness for Leotychidas and indicated that Agis died at Heraea.
