- Abstract
The article focuses on the health inequalities between communities, and states that an association exists between poor health and poverty. It discusses the association of racism with prevalence of certain kind of diseases, and mentions that the medicine curriculum fails to analyze why black patients with chest pain are not given proper quality medical care. It mentions the link between culture and occurrence of sexually transmitted diseases and type 2 diabetes.
