- Abstract
An essay is presented exploring Canadian poet Dionne Brand's work "Land to Light On" as a tribute to women and patriarchal resistance. It explores the critiques surrounding Brand's literary use of words and forms, her views on feminism and the distrust of colonial and post-colonial nationalism on black and feminist politics.
