- Abstract
The article discusses a ceremony held by the New York Police Department (NYPD) in New York City to honor the centennial of the department's Jewish chaplaincy. A brief history of the NYPD Chaplains Unit, which was established in 1906, is provided. People appointed to the Jewish chaplaincy include Rabbi Abraham Blum, Cantor Isidore Drank, and Rabbi Dr. Alvin Kass.
