A literary criticism of the book "Egyptian Nights" by Aleksandr Sergeevich Pushkin is presented. It explores the use of enchantment in his literary writing despite of the commercialization of literature in the 1830s. It provides an analysis on the two main heroes which reflects the author's engagement to the changing literary landscape in Russia.
