- Abstract
This article purposes to discuss some aspects of the recent Haitian migration to Brazil and the consequences of its unfolding. The intention is, from the presentation of part of the fieldwork that we conducted since 2011 until the present moment, reflect on the answers given by the Brazilian government about Haitians as well as show the ambivalent image that the media is building among immigrants and the government. Our proposition is not conclusive; it is just beginning and is intended to raise some assumptions, to problematize Haitian migration that lives in Brazil since 2010. For this theme, we rely on classical texts of anthropology, among which studies Malinowski (1978) and another one newer. To the question of migration we follow the studies of Abdelmalek Sayad (1998), by seeing the migratory phenomenon in its entirety. On media discourse and its nuances, we clamped some concepts of Michel Foucault and Zigmunt Bauman.
