- Abstract
The article provides information on the case of an 11-year-old Dressage mare diagnosed with intraosseous epidermoid cysts in the third phalanx. The animal was presented with abnormal gait and the researchers suspected the presence of abscess of the left hoof. Based on the results of radiographic and computerized tomography, a large cystic lesion near the apex of the pedal bone was observed. Meanwhile, histologic and histochemical results revealed the lesions as intraosseous epidermoid cysts of the phalanx.
