- Abstract
The authors discuss a study by M. M. Levy and colleagues which evaluated the effects of implementing the Surviving Sepsis Campaign Guidelines over a 7.5-year period. Topics discussed include the conclusion of the study on the benefits of performance metrics, the definition of high compliance and of low compliance hospitals in the study, and the association of almost all items of the resuscitation and management bundle and improved hospital mortality.
