- Abstract
An essay is presented on how traditional charity and business forms attempt to structure and solve the dual mission dilemma of blended enterprise in the U.S. It states that donations, earned revenue and debt-financing have turned the interest of many social entrepreneurs to blended enterprise. It offers new hybrid forms of organization including low-profit limited liability Company (L3C), community interest company (CIC) and benefit corporation (B Corporation).
