- Abstract
A case study of a 30-year-old female with recurrent episodes of respiratory distress and affected by tetraplegia is presented. Topics discussed include tracheal dilatation recognized as a complication of tracheotomy, use of computed tomography (CT) scan to confirm the dilatation of the trachea, use of T-tube prosthesis with the cuff of the tracheal tube to fix tracheal device to the tracheal and laryngeal pipe.
