- Abstract
The article focuses on the invigoration of public leadership studies within public administration (PA), as emphasized in the Minnowbrook III conference. It says that the context of public leadership centers on leadership for the common good to create public value. It discusses the analysis of public leadership through three broad lenses including character, function, and jurisdiction, in which theoretical propositions have been developed. Furthermore, propositions help public administrators, scholars, and practitioners direct their future research and solve conceptual challenges and public problems as well as develop public policies. Furthermore, a set of research questions to further understand the importance and application of public leadership invigoration is presented.
