- Abstract
The article offers information on evidence which demonstrates that in the 16th century several monasteries became directly involved in the production and publication of printed books. It discusses the work of author James Clark in demonstrating the evidence of involvement of monasteries in printed book publication, mention Syon Abbey monastery as primary religious contributor in publication and mentions three books produced by the Abingdon Abbey monastery including "The Book of Comfort."
