- Abstract
The article reports on the resolution of the legal case of the Quechan Indian tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation vs. the U.S. Department of the Interior. In the case the U.S. District Court held against the Quechan tribe in its lawsuit seeking an injunction prohibiting the transfer of title to federal land in the Wellton-Mohawk Transfer Act of 2000, and held that the tribes complaints regarding a violation of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 were without merit.
