- Title
The Resurgence of Pertussis.
- Authors
Bowman, Salands C.
- Abstract
The article reports on the increasing number of pertussis. The number of pertussis cases has decreased in the past because of the introduction of a vaccine. One of the assumed reasons behind the resurgence of the diseases is that the efficacy of the pertussis vaccine diminishes through time. The Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) suggested that all health care professionals and adults in contact with children with pertussis be vaccinated.
