- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "The Idea of a Christian Society," by T. S. Eliot is presented. It explores the part of Eliot's thought which evolve around Munich, paying little attention to international politics and Germany's territorial aspirations. It examines the threats to the primary allegiance of Christianity to the universal church, and the tension between the church and state with the concept of harmonization to the identity of both spiritual and temporal aspect.
