Title
Treatment of Plaque-induced Gingivitis, Chronic Periodontitis, and Other Clinical Conditions.
Abstract
The article discusses treatment of plaque-induced gingivitis, chronic periodontitis and other periodontal conditions. There are two major categories for periodontitis treatment. One is an anti-infective treatment, which is designed to halt the progression of periodontal attachment loss by removing etiologic factors. Next is a regenerative therapy, which includes anti-infective treatment and is intended to restore structures destroyed by disease.
