- Authors
Snow, Nancy
- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Intelligent Virtue" by Julia Annas is presented. It argues on the discussion of the author on situationism wherein it considered virtue ethics as empirically inadequate. It mentions that virtues are traits that are deeply entrenched parts of personality manifested in regular behavior across different types of situations. It notes that situationism is a theory in psychology that refers to an approach to behavior which holds that general traits do not exist.
