Reports on the purification, cloning, and sequence analysis of &beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase from the chitinolytic bacterium Aeromonas hydrophila strain SUWA-9 by researchers from Nagano, Japan. Success of the researchers in isolating a chitinolyic bacterium; Capability of Aeromonas hydrophila strain SUWA-9 to grow well on a synthetic medium containing colloidal chitin as sole carbon source; Induction of chitin-degrading activity by colloidal chitin of N-acetylglucosamine.
