- Abstract
This document is an editorial highlights article from the journal Developmental Dynamics. It discusses recent advances in developmental biology in various areas. The first highlighted article focuses on Xenopus biology, specifically the latest developments in cell biology, differentiation, mechanobiology, evolution and regeneration, genomics and disease, and the development of new tools. The second article explores the role of peripheral nerves in tissue repair and regeneration, highlighting the importance of innervation in various aspects of wound healing. The third article investigates the relationship between embryonic segmentation and skeletal development, revealing that disruptions in segment borders during embryogenesis can lead to vertebral anomalies in adulthood. The final article examines the role of latent transforming growth factor β binding proteins, particularly LBTP2, in tissue repair and regeneration, with a focus on the development of a new mouse model.
