- Abstract
Subfraction 2-2 (2.6 g) was further purified on a silica gel column using I n i -hexane-EtOAc mixtures to obtain michelenolide ( B 5 b , 5 mg) and dihydromichelenolide ( B 6 b , 3 mg). The MeOH extract was chromatographed over silica gel (810 g, 70-230 mesh) using I n i -hexane-EtOAc-MeOH mixtures as eluents to produce four fractions. Subfraction 2-1 (2.1 g) was further purified on a silica gel column using I n i -hexane-EtOAc mixtures to obtain (+)-pinoresinol ( B 15 b , 11 mg). Subfraction 2-3 (1.4 g) was further purified on a silica gel column using I n i -hexane-EtOAc mixtures to obtain santamarine ( B 7 b , 5 mg) and dihydrosantamarine ( B 8 b , 17 mg).
