- Abstract
Vine tea is a medicinal and food plant, which is rich in flavonoids. The main components of vine tea are dihydromyricetin and myricetin. Rattan tea and its main active components have antioxidant, antibacterial and immunomodulatory functions. The use of probiotics to ferment vine tea for biotransformation can improve the active ingredient content and biological activity of rattan tea. In recent years, the application of vine tea as a new feed additive in animal production has attracted wide attention. Therefore, this paper briefly summarizes the active components and biological activity of vine tea, and outlined the biotransformation of vine tea through probiotics and its application in animal production, to provide a reference for the efficient utilization of vine tea in animal production.
