- Abstract
The training of university teachers in scientific research is a necessity for the improvement of higher education and the fulfillment of the mission of universities. In this sense, the following research is proposed with the objective of evaluating the research competencies of the teachers of the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes (UNIANDES) The objective of the research is to apply a neutrosophic linguistic scale for the evaluation of the formation of research competencies in the teachers of the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes. Theoretical, empirical, mathematical and statistical methods and techniques were used for this purpose. Using the expert method (Delphi variant), the 13 research competencies that university teachers should have were identified. Finally, a survey was applied to 135 randomly selected teachers to assess their level of training in research skills, with the result that almost 80% considered their level of training to be good or excellent and considered that they should deepen their knowledge in aspects such as the search for scientific information, data processing, use of statistical tools and mastery of citation and referencing standards.
