- Abstract
The present study is trying to investigate the effects of deoxynivalenol, lipopolysaccharide individually or both additions at the same time on the inflammatory signaling pathway and intestinal barrier protein in IPEC-J2 cell. Our results showed that treated with deoxynivalenol and lipopolysaccharide individually at 0.5 h in IPEC-J2 results in a significant activation of MAPK pathway. However, the expression of genes related to the intestinal barrier protein were increased at 6 h but decreased at 24 hours treated with deoxynivalenol and lipoplysaccharide. The pro-inflammatory cytokines gene expression was increased after 6 h deoxynivalenol exposure. There is no additive effect on gene expression of intestinal barrier protein and cytokines in current study. Summarized, deoxynivalenol promotes protein phosphorylation of the inflammatory pathway, furthermore, to modulate the gene expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and impair of intestinal barrier proteins.
