- Abstract
The article investigates the transport dynamics and the properties of bedload transport using a hydro-acoustic system as well as the potential of this acoustic measuring system to characterize the transported bedload in terms of mass and grain size. The authors also examine whether acoustic measurements in running waters can be used in investigating bedload transport and which of the bedload characteristics, regarding mass and shape, are possible through acoustic signals. The devices used in recording the signals, include a portable data recorder and a hydrophone.
