The article offers information on the conference "Monastic Life, Art, and Technology in 11th-16th Centuries" that was held from October 16-18, 2014 at University of Alba Iulia in Romania. Topics discussed include exhibition of pieces of greyish Transylvanian rock-salt referred to the economic organization of Bizere abbey, Benedictine, Cistercian, and Praemonstratensian monasticism in Central, South, and Western Europe and problems of art, architecture and material culture.
