- Authors
Elmore, Joann G.; Brenner, R. James
- Abstract
The article comments on a paper which examines the impact of double reading of mammogram on cancer detection. The study shows the potential to increase cancer detection when the standard double reading of the mammogram is augmented with secondary interpretations. The author stresses that generalizing this result to other screening programs is challenging. She emphasizes the role played by the existence of different methods of double reading of breast images
