- Authors
Zantingh, Matthew
- Abstract
An essay about the works of Canadian poet Rita Wong that show the connection between thing theory, actor-network theory (ANT) and ecocriticism is presented. It discusses the health and environmental impacts of industrial wastes, specifically computer parts, in Guiyu, a Chinese town in the Guangdong province, as depicted in Wong's poem "sort by day, burn by night." It also cites the argument of philosopher Bruno Latour about the relationship between full causality and sheer inexistence.
