- Abstract
The article presents a study on the combination therapy with ezetimibe and simvastatin for reduction of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol to the patients with heart disease. The researchers assessed the patients after a 4-week placebo and diet run-in period and 6 weeks of active drug therapy. The study demonstrates that the combination of ezetimibe and simvastatin provides greater reduction in total cholesterol compared with rosuvastatin monotherapy at the corresponding dose.
