- Abstract
The article reports on Uniting Couples in the Treatment of Anorexia Nervosa (UCAN), a couple-based cognitive behavioral therapy intervention for the treatment of AN developed by Doctor Cynthia M. Bulik and colleagues at the University of North Carolina. The UCAN program is based on the perspective that the disorder occurs in an interpersonal and social context. The program has many stages, one of which deals with their relations and interactions around the eating disorder and its features such as binge eating and restricting food.
