- Abstract
The present work deals with the way in which the first Heidegger conceives the task of philosophy understood as primordial science. In a lecture of 1919 entitled "The ideal of philosophy and the problem of worldview", he establishes a critical dialogue with neo-Kantian proposal of a philosophy as science of value. The question to be asked is: what is the object of something like a primordial science? The inductive and the teleological-critical method are configured as historically available means of carrying out philosophical activity. Nevertheless, Heidegger argues against the possibility of understanding philosophy as primordial science out of a theoretical attitude. He points, finally, to the necessity of including the pre-theoretical domain of life in the consideration of the object of philosophy, making, therefore, the option for "things in themselves", an attitude of comprehensive listening of the immediacy of life, from which it springs and to which all operation of signification returns.
