The article presents the author's efforts on the transformation of her World Religions classroom at the University of San Diego (USD) in California as a site of struggle where students can explore the importance of religious pluralism on democracy. It mentions the integration of the dialogical approach of Diana Eck in studying religion. The author has also incorporated the issue on Buddhism that has influenced students in recognizing the connection of their religious and civic identities.
