- Abstract
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Joachim Rudolph was born on October 19, 1963 in Kaiserslautern. He studied Technical Cybernetics at the University of Stuttgart and obtained his doctorate at the Universite de Paris Sud (XI) on the topic "Poursuite de modele: Une approche par l'algebre differentielle" (Model tracking: An approach using differential algebra). He then habilitated at the Technical University of Dresden. Since April 2009, he has been a professor of System Theory and Control Engineering at the University of Saarland. His scientific focus lies in the treatment of nonlinear systems and systems with distributed parameters. He has numerous publications and patents on this topic. In addition to his research activities, he is also involved in teaching and university administration.
