The article investigates Gary Taylor's claim that the Elizabethan poet and Neo-Latinist Thomas Watson co-authored Arden of Faversham (1590) with William Shakespeare with Watson responsible for around four-fifths of the text. Topics include considered that in an essay concerning intertextual links between early modern author canons, it will be useful to offer some paratextual information first.
