The article discusses the subsequent influence of the protests over the 2017 not-guilty verdict on police officer Jason Stockley for the fatal shooting of an African American motorist. Topics covered include the warning on Missouri as a hostile travel destination for African Americans, and the coalition of labor unions to stop the right-to-work bill. Also noted are the protests' reflection of the justice-making tradition in St. Louis.
