- Abstract
In this paper we addressed systemic the process of motivation, approaching it from the perspective of motivations, types of motivation or motivational theories, as well as from the perspective of the relationship with efficiency, effectiveness and organizational performance and human resource management. The subject of this study is primarily motivated by the fact that the research into motivation factors was carried out in the current economic context and, secondly, the need to improve the performance and motivation of human resources for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness within forestry organizations. The actual results of the study will contribute to the extent of research with the aid of the contribution made to improve knowledge in this field, represented by the accomplishment of some waterfall studies at the Forestry Department of Maramures county and Forest Division. We have found from the studies that, regardless the size of the enterprise, the main objectives of the salary policies which occupy the first 3 places of the top are: increasing the motivation of employees; improving productivity of work and remuneration of qualification, competence and performance. On the other hand, small and medium-sized companies consider that the main objective of the salary policy is increasing the motivation of employees, while large firms said that the most important objective of wage policies is to improve the productivity of work.
