- Abstract
The article titled "Cover Image" discusses the translocation of native fish species in the lower San Juan River in southern Utah, USA. The researchers associated with the San Juan River Basin Recovery Implementation Program (SJRIP) translocated four species of native fish annually for six years and evaluated their movement and survival. The study found that the translocated fish were able to move more than 200 river kilometers upstream within a year and had higher survival rates compared to non-translocated fish. This translocation process can benefit fragmented rivers by providing fish access to diverse habitats and increasing reproductive rates for endangered species.
