- Authors
KUGLER, JOHN D.
- Abstract
The author reflects on the important use of inappropriate cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) discharges which have been addressed in pediatric and young adult patients. He explores the limitations in using ICD and optimized the programmed settings for effective therapy while minimizing painful and psychologically damaging effects of inappropriate discharges. He suggests that manufacturers and electrophysiologists should solve the issues and techniques in decreasing inappropriate charges.
