- Abstract
The author discusses the importance of keeping a detailed and accurate records referred to as the case notes in midwifery-led care in Great Britain. She argues that the inability of midwives to keep an accurate record leads to conflicting evidences during investigation of cases where a child has died or injured. Moreover, she stresses that keeping an accurate record also protects the midwife and in successfully defending claims cases.
