- Abstract
Objetivo: Analisar o perfil das infecções hospitalares ocorridas nos pacientes submetidos a transplante hepático. Método: Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem quantitativa, do tipo descritivo. Este tipo de pesquisa envolve a coleta sistemática de informações numérica, normalmente mediante condições de muito controle, além da análise dessa informação, utilizando procedimentos estatísticos. Resultados: Em 59 prontuários de pacientes submetidos a transplante hepático analisados, no período do estudo, foram encontrados 28 (47,5%) pacientes que desenvolveram infecção bacteriana hospitalar nas seguintes topografias: Pneumonia associada à ventilação mecânica (17,8%); Infecção de sítio cirúrgico órgão ou cavidade (17,8%); celulite (3,5%); Infecção do trato urinário associado à sonda vesical de demora (21,4%); Pneumonia não associada à ventilação mecânica (10,7%); Cateter vascular (10,7%), outros (18,1%), distribuídos em casos de sepse, diarréia hospitalar. Conclusão: Os resultados do estudo evidenciaram a necessidade de programarmos medidas de maior eficácia para prevenir a infecção hospitalar, tendo em vista o número de infecções adquiridas terem sido bem elevado, sendo necessária a implementação de treinamentos constantes para a equipe multiprofissional com o objetivo de reduzirmos o tempo de hospitalização, gastos hospitalares, uso indiscriminado de antibióticos.
